Patrick “Tony” Stremel
Mr. Stremel is currently a licensed Mechanical Engineer in California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. He is also CFPS certified through the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Mr. Stremel joined Southwest Consulting Group in 2003 and became President of the company in August of 2007. He has worked in construction for over 24 years, including expert witness and consulting work in construction defect and claim cases for more than eleven years.
As a Mechanical Engineering expert witness and consultant, Mr. Stremel has performed investigation, review, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection) systems in hundreds of residential, commercial, and institutional projects. His services have included the analysis of the design and installation of mechanical systems, including systems, equipment and product performance for compliance to specifications, contract documents, Federal, State and local codes and industry standards. He has also proposed design changes and alternatives to the existing installation, including repairs where required. Mr. Stremel has provided clients with project coordination, including budgets, inspection and testing, data reduction, reports, client consultation, expert meetings, mediation, trial preparation and trial testimony. Most recently, he became a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) through NFPA.
James W. Miller
Mr. Miller was hired by DLSK in 1990 as a Mechanical Designer and ACADD Operator. When DLSK split into two companies in 1994, Mr. Miller followed Mr. Swink and became one of the founding members of Southwest Consulting Group. For the last 18 years, Mr. Miller has been involved in engagements including Construction Defects, Product Liability, Personal Injury, Design Errors and Omissions, and Professional Liability.
He is a member of the following organizations: American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (Associate Member since 1989), American Society of Plumbing Engineers (Full Member since 1995), International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (since 2001, also Certified as a Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector), National Fire Protection Association (since 2001)

Brad Barr
As a Partner at Southwest Consulting Group, Inc., Mr. Barr brings over 30 years of electrical construction installation experience for residential, commercial and industrial facilities to Southwest Consulting Group. An Electrical Contractor since 1990, Mr. Barr brings decades of real world experience in the electrical field, including working on custom homes and remodels, apartments, restaurants, tenant improvements. Since 1996, he has been an Electrical Consultant on Construction Defect cases, where he has performed forensic investigations for over 10 years and has been retained as an electrical
expert on over 400 cases in the past 5 years.
Mr. Barr is a licensed electrical contractor in the states of California, Nevada and Arizona. He is a member of the following organizations: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Code Council (ICC), and International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI)
Mr. Barr specializes in cases involving Construction Defect, Fire Damage, and Contract Disputes
Doug McKittrick
Mr. McKittrick has worked in the Electrical field since 1989, becoming a Journeyman Electrician in 1995. He has been a supervisor of commercial, residential and industrial electrical projects including: Custom homes, golf club manufacturing plant and hospital work. Mr. McKittrick was hired by Southwest Consulting Group Inc. in 2001 as an Electrical Consultant, Inspector and Cost Estimator. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Code Council (ICC), and International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI)
